An Antioxidant Rich Diet Regime

Dieting with various food plans designed for various goals such as weight loss or muscle gain is a common thing. There are plenty of diet plans and routines designed to achieve a number of different things. A diet that is balanced overall tends to be the best plan in the long term.

Antioxidants are known to have miraculous properties. What they basically do is reduce the effect of oxidation in cells, a process that can be quite damaging but is inevitable. Antioxidants are known to have anti ageing properties and are also known to prevent cancer.

A diet rich in antioxidants would be a diet that is rich in fruits, especially citrus fruits, and vegetables. Acai berries are an extremely rich source of antioxidants. Some other fruits that are especially rich in antioxidants include plums, cherries, apples, strawberries and guava.

Vegetables such as broccoli and spinach also have high levels of antioxidants and should be a part of an antioxidant rich diet. Irrespective of whether you're following a special diet or not, it is important to include a large amount of fruits and vegetables into your daily diet.

The key to planning an antioxidant rich diet is to try and include fresh greens into both lunch and dinner and to include anti oxidant rich foods such as berries, raisins, etc. into your daily intake.
